The heading Sidebars

Your blog is composed by 2 columns ("sidebars") and a central part where your posts are displayed. We call block an item of a sidebar (for instance: the blocks "categories", "photo album", "about me"...).

Click on the section Sidebar contents in order to select what to display in the sidebars and their display order.

  • If you wish to swap the items in the sidebars use the arrows buttons [UP] and [DOWN].
  • If you wish to move a block from the left sidebar to the right one (or the other way round), select the block and click on the arrow button [RIGHT] (or [LEFT]) displayed in the center under the thumbnail.
  • If you wish to remove an item from one of the sidebars, please select the block and click on the button [X].

The second part of the page shows a table listing all the block at your disposal for your blog.

  • The blocks you are already using (that is, already displayed in oe of your sidebars) are associated to the label Item already used.
  • If you wish to add a block to one of your sidebars, click on the link Add to left sidebar or Add to right sidebar of the block itself.

The following are the blocks already existing when you create your blog for the first time:

  • Your photo: this block displays your photo if you submitted it in the page «About me» of section «Control Panel».
  • Calendar: this block displays a calendar allowing your readers to read the posts you submitted day by day. Only the days when you actually published at least one post are clickable.
  • Recent posts: this block displays the last 10 posts published.
  • Recent comments: this block displays the last 10 comments received and the posts they're about.
  • Page About me: this block displays a link to the About me page. The About me page displays all the informations you have submitted in the Page About me of heading Tableau de bord.
  • Categories: this block displays all the categories adding up to at least one post. This block allows your readers to consult your posts by topic.
  • Archives: this block displays links to weekly or monthly archives allowing your readers to read your posts by their period of creation. Only the weeks of months when you actually published at least one post are displayed.
  • Your email: this block displays your email address. We encript your email address in the source code of the page, so that spam robots cannot see your email.
  • Powered by: this block displays blogSpirit's logo.
  • Syndication: this block displays the syndication logos. They allow your readers to syndicate your blog if you gave them the permission to do so in the «Syndication» section of heading «Control Panel».

Other blocks can be displayed when you create lists (documents, films, links, books, music, people) or either photo albums.

To every list is associated a block you can add to the left or the right sidebar of your blog.

All photo albums are grouped in the same block, called "photo albums".

From this page you can also simply add new contents to your sidebars (texts, images, web services).
