The mortgage crisis that gripped Miami Beach a few years back left quite a mark in the real estate market. The last two years have proven to be a challenge as the number of unsold homes soars despite the rising demands from devastated homebuyers who can’t afford the media prices of these residences, as well as the interest rates of financial aids of different lending firm in the area. Many hopefuls, however, have seen a slow recovery in the real estate market in Miami Beach this year. Despite the damage that was wrought during the mortgage problem, many real estate firms are trying their best to bring up the market with a little strategy of their own.Condo Prices LowersThe increasing number of foreclosures and number of unsold homes forced many of the real estate companies to trim down the prices of their properties. Another factor that contributed to this event is due to the rising number of competition in the field of real estate here in Miami Beach – especially in the case of condominiums.Considered as high-class, luxurious residential properties, condominiums are being sought after by local and foreign investors during the market boom in 2005. The popularity of Miami Beach as a tourist attraction contributed to this factor as well. Considering that the market for condo units are on the recovery, though a bit slow to suit the taste of those into the business, foreigners and locals alike are now clamoring about investing in them, either as a long-term business investment or as a permanent residence.Miami Beach Condo As A Dream HomeNo matter what the situation may be, the condos around Miami Beach are considered as prime property. Fully equipped units are readily available that will address the needs of the individual or for the whole family. A condo unit in Miami Beach is furnished with furniture from living room to kitchen, with appliances that cater the occupant’s entertainment to housekeeping needs.Aside from the unit itself, the entire condominium complex is filled with amenities that the guests and occupants will surely enjoy. Each condo is equipped with high-tech security systems that will see to the security and privacy of the people in the complex. Also, you don’t need to worry about housekeeping functions, since each condo provides its own personnel that can do cleaning jobs to minor repairs – all for a monthly fee of course. When picking out a Miami Beach condo, it would be best to plan in advance to truly maximize its use. Check out different locations that will suit your needs, as well as the establishments around the area. While you’re at it, you might want to check out their prices, as well as the interest rates and payment terms if you want to go for a financial loan for the acquisition.Vanessa Arellano Doctorhttp://epicmiami.com

Moving to a new city or town is not an absolutely appealing prospect. Although the idea of living in a new place and meeting new people fires your excitement up, it usually plays the role of the meager tip of an enormous iceberg. The same rule applies even in booming areas such as Coral Springs. If you still haven’t stumbled upon an ideal Coral Springs real estate property, you might find it practical to seek for temporary housing. This way, you’ll get a feel of the locality prior to an actual home purchase.Even if you haven’t bought a house yet, there’s definitely no reason for alarm. The Coral Springs real estate market can easily supply you with a myriad of housing options. Then again, since most relocations involve an “in-between” period, it’s usually an excellent idea to have a look at your interim options. Obviously, you need to base your pick on your actual requirements so as to save money and to get the most out of the amount you’ll be spending.Transient HousingIf your “in-between” phase only covers a period of a few days to a couple of weeks, then you’ll be better off staying at a hotel. However, if the interim turns out to be a great deal longer, then hotel accommodations may prove to be a pricey idea. Perhaps you would like to look into transient “corporate housing.”Corporate housing is a Coral Springs real estate property that comes fully-equipped with fundamental furnishings, kitchenware, toilet and bathroom supplies, entertainment appliances, utilities and maid service, and local phone and cable television services. It is certainly a more practical alternative compared to hotel accommodations.Subletting An ApartmentFortunately, the Coral Springs real estate market offers a wide array of rental properties from which you can choose. Looking for the most ideal apartment to lease will not be any trouble at all as long as you’re willing to track down a particular place that’s surely well within your interim budget. Then again, instead of being utilized as an interim alternative, more and more people are subletting apartments for a longer period of time. The need to move frequently, the higher degree of flexibility, the increasing ownership overheads, and the appealing amenities to be had through leasing are obviously some of its fantastic advantages. There are a number of factors you need to consider when deciding whether to buy or rent a Coral Springs real estate property. Your current job status and the likelihood of relocating yet again should definitely have some bearing on your decision. Other than those two, you also need to take the following into account: the preliminary and monthly expenses of both alternatives, tax advantages and savings, the accessibility and appeal of the property, and the present interest rates and financing options available. So before you dive into a huge investment such as buying a Coral Springs real estate property, see to it that settling on an actual purchase is really your best possible option. If you’re still unsure of the answer, try to ascertain whether you would like to stay in the area for good or not and then attempt to form your decision based on your response.Vanessa Arellano Doctorhttp://hometerra.com/coral_springs_realestate.htm

I'm in Zürich's airport. It's beautiful, it looks like the way airport would look like in movies, rather then the way they actually look in reality. all steal and glass and gray concrete and black leather couches. The large windows are open to a forest and a snowy mountain and a airplanes. I've slept in the plane, though badly, so I'm tired and cranky and feel very exposed in an old dirty sweatshirt and a pair of jeans I've worn basically every day in the past 2 and a half weeks.

It's strange to be here, so far from everything I know. I'm hungry, I think about the last meal I had, Sushi in a cheap tiny restaurant on Ben-Yehuda st. and Ben Gurion ave. Me and my sister laughing at the size of their bathroom and talk, what about really? I can't remember now. Just stuff, and the amount of comfortableness I felt. Like I know everything, like I can't embarrass myself in Tel Aviv, can't do the wrong thing cause I understand the rules and how it works.

I sit on one of those airport cafes, an open space next to those huge windows, around me, two French business man are showing each other funny YouTube clips and laugh, a German blond couple are trying to talk quietly while still keeping an eye on the baby. A bald man browsing a paper notebook while his wife dropping off duty free bags, a Muslim woman with a trolley suitcase and an orange and pink floral headdress is chewing gum while her middle aged husband looks at the menu.

I'm trying to connect to the internet, but fail, I might or might not payed for it, but still I can't seem to be able to log on, I'm too embarrassed to ask anyone, and lifting my head I notice that the other laptop user I saw before already left for his flight. I eat a bad and over priced ham and cheese bagel. The prices on the menu are in Swiss Franks, so I'm not even sure how much it costs, I leave a 20$ bill and get change in strange beautiful coins I've never seen before.

The trip to Israel, now, after a night of very little sleep, feels so far away, and NY feels even farther. Airport always feels as if you spend all your life there, even if it's just for a couple of hours.

It's almost 5:00 AM and I'm so tired, sitting at gate B8 in Terminal 3 in the Ben Gurion airport in Israel.

I'm really tired and restless, I want to be on the plane already, to be moving, in transit. The past couple of weeks were so busy and so crazy, it feels as if this is the first time I'm resting, sitting, and I don't really want to.

It was so packed and busy, and happy and sad and very emotional, I'm not quite sure what went on, a lot of beginings and no endings, threads of stories and moments and parts of conversations and places rather then a linear sensible journy.

I'm sad to leave Israel, I can't wait to get home.

I have been dreaming of having a cozy library all of my life. It will be my studio, my home entertainment, my café, and my relaxing box. The library will have me in its details. The dream’s coming true in some ways. I have an extra room in front part of my house. Do you read that? MY HOUSE, all with capital letters. No big deal for many people, but it is for me. It costs all of our money even money we don’t posse. We’re officially a debtor right now.

Aris is still struggling with fresh money to finance the renovation. However, I much more concern about the studio and my Kaylia’s corner. I plan to paint the studio in ivory color and a bit Francesca red since I want it to be a warm and energetic place. Think I'll provide a nice couch and a beautiful desk lamp inside. The internet network will be available, too. Kaylia’s corner, a corner inside the house, will be red and green (neon light). It feels good to imagine the result.

Digital library? Still a long way to go. Here is the site of a children digital library I like: http://www.icdlbooks.org

I thought we could actually feed the kids canned food until they are 18)

10.
I am a mess. No, not mess as in mess but messy as in messy. Ppphhhttt, as if...

I am a mess. No, not mess as in mess but messy as in messy. Ppphhhttt, as if THAT made sense but I loathe the idea of calling myself messy so I will settle for calling myself ‘organized in a messy way’.

There.

Since I am going to be moving out to my own place next week (my grandmother found the PERFECT lucky date to move, so, there’s really no escaping. Unless I like the feeling of having a knife in my rear end planted there by well-meaning elderly people in my family – BOTH sides), I thought I’d write a little about housework, mundane and pain-in-the-butt chores like picking up your own clothes, doing your own laundry, sweeping your own floor, mopping the damn floor, wiping and dusting tabletops and computer tops and TVs and….see, I get even get TIRED writing about it. Plus, I have this sinus problem that makes it impossible for me to sweep or dust anything without popping a few blood vessels in my nostrils.

I’ve used my sinus problem as an excuse quite successfully over this lifetime but I guess I will no longer have a choice when I move out without my maid in tow.

Yeah, I have a maid but we’re leaving the maid with my mother-in-law since I am younger, more energetic and supposedly more able than her. Sometimes I question this logic. She may be older but if you look at my mother-in-law, you’ll see that apart from creaking knees, she moves without much effort around the house. In fact, she runs faster than me! But since all the families congregate in my mother-in-law’s place (my current residence) everyday, it would make sense to leave the maid here instead of having to get another maid and contend with another full-blown ‘How can this maid be so dense not to understand what ‘’o-oi’ and ‘mum-mum’ mean?’ problem. They don’t teach maids our baby-language (which they should, by the way) as in mum-mum means eat, shee-shee means pee, mm-mm means big business in toilet, o-oi means sleep…etc.

I think housework is a stupid chore. Why can’t we live in organized clutter? I mean, isn’t it OK if we all know where things are and where the broom, the mouse, the speaker phone, the handphone charger and the fork and spoons are? Isn’t that enough already? Do we have to live in hotel-like environment in order to function? Isn’t it enough that we have clean clothes to wear, half-decent shoes to put over our feet, and a home that does not smell like the insides of an ashtray? If not, then let's all move to Hyatt Saujana or something.

I mean, let’s look at it this way…you wipe, mop, sweet, vacuum…and whatever else it is that you do to a home….tonight, you go to sleep in a this sterile environment feeling extremely proud of yourself and then you wake up in the morning and there’s dust everywhere. DUST, DUST, DUST!! It’s frustrating because you’ve worked so hard to keep the place clean and then all you get is a night sleep without enjoying the cleanliness at all! Why bother?

My table is the messiest place in any place that I live or work. In the bank I used to work, I heard the receptionist say to my client when he came to visit me, “There, see the table with four piles of files stacked up on the front of the table? That’s Marsha’s table” You can’t see me coming in from the door because the files form a sort of protective wall from public eye. Eh, I like it this way, ok? But my office mates laugh at me and my boss asked me if I had enough space to write anything when I pile everything on top of my table and I say, “Sure”. But in the end, they got me a special second table where I pile MORE files on top of it. The extra table did not help me clear the original table but instead, I built a longer wall of files!

It is ironic that when I was living with my parents, I shared a bedroom with my sister. Now, she’s someone who is totally opposite of me! I couldn’t care less and she cares about everything - sad to say, she’s my YOUNGER sister. I make a mess, she cleans up. She puts her toiletries in organized compartments, mine can be found under the toilet bowl. She organizes her perfumes and lotions in sections, mine can be found dumped inside my underwear drawer. In fact, she’s so meticulous that she used to iron my school uniform when we were in school!! She complained but my mom has given up asking me to do the task because I was never home, anyway.

Now that I am married, my HUSBAND has taken over the role. He is the kind of person who WANTS and NEEDS to stay in a hotel-like home and don’t want to lift a finger to do anything! Therefore, in my personal, opinion, he should just take his ass to Indonesia and find himself a bride there! Harumph! Accordingly, many Indonesian women know how to clean a home (any home) with their eyes closed.

And as I was saying, housework is tedious and mindless. Why do housework when you know that everything is going to be messed up again – especially if you have kids? You put their toys back into their organized toy boxes with special labels, and the next minute they are everywhere again. Why bother folding the blankets and comforters when you know they’re going to be used again tonight? Why bother mopping when you know one of the kids are going to spill their VITAGENS on the floor again?

But even if my own personal space is cluttered, I have to keep the rest of the place clean and as organized as I possibly can. In other words, I will clean every other spaces that affects others. When it comes to my own space, leave it alone! I like the organized mess that I am living in right now.

Written in jest, of course. Sometimes, I DO wish someone would clean my mess up for me......any takers?

House cleaning tips

House-cleaning schedule (there’s a SCHEDULE??)

Springcleaning

Getting organized

Cleaning up after pets (Urgh!)

Marsha
www.marshamaung.com
