People want to know what goes into casting a cutting-edge green screen video or trailer? So, for our latest video for New Gods, we decided to create a diary and let our readers go behind the scenes to see how it happens.

The first step is to do extensive research on the customer and their project so we can clearly portray the idea and purpose of the green screen video. With New Gods, this meant accurately communicating the director’s vision to potential actors.

Next, we created the audition logistics, a list of specific tasks we needed to complete before audition day. We worked with an experienced talent coordinator, Barbette Hunter, which was essential to the success of this video.

At this point, it was time to create a press release announcing the audition. With Barbette’s expertise, our team used several methods to inform potential talent of the project, including

Sending an email to nearly 250 actors;
Uploading info to casting call websites; and
Loading the press release to TarHeel.ning.com and Facebook.com.

In the days before the audition, we emailed all interested actors the script and posted all of their head shots to Flickr and resumes to our online file storage. This allowed the production crew to have easy access to information on potential talent.

After a lot of hard work and anticipation, audition day finally arrived. By following our carefully planned out schedule, our team was able to complete all tasks in one afternoon. How to fix AV synch problem with MPEG Video Wizard DVD

MPEG Video Wizard DVD provides three tools to solve your audio/video sync problem.

a):MPEG GOP Fixer

This tool lets you check and correct GOP time code errors, video and audio PTS (presentation time stamp) errors, and DVD GOP size violations, which may be present in an MPEG data file.

1. Click the tools button on the Toolbar, and select MPEG GOP Fixer in the drop-down list.

2. In the open dialog window, input your problematical MPEG file.

3. Then, in the “Test Options”, you can choose one solution to deal with your file. e.g. “Fix GOP time code and PTS errors (Read + Write)” , and then “Start”. The GOP Fixer will automatically scan your MPEG files and fix the errors.

b): MPEG MBS Scanner

There may occur audio/video sync problem when one MPEG file contains one of the three changes below:
timebase change, such as a time code restart;
video encoder settings change, such as image size, frame rate, and bit rate; and
audio encoder settings change, such as sampling frequency, bit rate, and number of sound channels.

We refer this kind of file as a Multiple Bit Stream (MBS) MPEG file . When this occurs, we can fix this a/v sync problem by using MPEG MBS Scanner.

1. To open MPEG MBS Scanner, click on the Toolbar and select MPEG MBS Scanner from the list.

2. In the open dialog window, input your problematical MPEG file, then click “Scan” to start finding the errors.

3. After finishing the scanner process, you can add the list of segment files to timeline or project manager for further edit. e.g. “Add to Timeline”.

4. Export to a new MPEG file.

c): MPEG DeMultiplexer

Use this tool to split an MPEG Systems stream into a set of elementary streams (video-only and audio-only streams). It is very efficient to help you resolve the audio/video synchronization problem, as frequently encountered in MPEG files with time code errors.

1. Click the tools button on the Toolbar, and select MPEG DeMultiplexer in the drop-down list.

2. In the open dialog window, input your problematical MPEG file, and check the box “Create a new project on the Timeline with the output files” for further editing.

3. Split the MPEG System file into separate video and audio files by clicking on "Save". The separate video (.mpv) and audio (.mpa) will automatically be imported onto timeline after finishing the demuxing process.

4. Adjust the relative offset between audio and video, by moving either the video clip or the audio clip, till they are in sync.

5 Save the result to a new MPEG file.

This was such an amazing experience, right before I left for Israel, I got contacted by Etsy's video article expert Tara Young who wanted to do a video article about us. I send her a written story a couple of months before when they asked for stories about handmade weddings. We manage to schedule the shoot a couple of days before my trip and so it was a wonderful surprise to be able to see this movie all edited and made on the day I returned. It's hard for me to not think I look stupid on camera, but I really love the way it came out. with the trip to Israel and all, and this feeling like such an important time in our relationship and life in general, it's really wonderful to have this beautiful overview of the beginning of our love.

The truth of the matter is that very few people will ever be successful at selling their music, film, artwork, photos, or books on MySpace. Why are so many people unsuccessful in generating income from a site that boasts over 100 million subscribers? Let me provide you with a few simple answers. MySpace is a social-networking website that promotes artists that have already “made it”. In other words, you won’t find an amateur band or director on the front page or landing page of the music or film section. For you writers, models, photographers, and graphic artists out there, your best bet of getting noticed is to join a group or write a blog. Strangely enough, they don’t openly promote that type of content on their site. So how does one get their content noticed by industry professionals? You have to follow the same steps everyone else followed before MySpace ever existed. You have to work hard to promote yourself.I have to believe that I have seen it all when it comes to promoting profiles on MySpace. Your chances are probably better in winning the lottery than having that person buy something from you. However, there’s always a chance. Another way to promote your profile to others outside of MySpace’s blogs, forums, and groups is to invite someone to be your friend. Within the invite, you can include a message explaining to them just why they should accept your invitation to be your friend. If they accept the invitation then you have a much warmer prospect. Now, your chances of selling them something may have increased slightly to a most-likely-not scenario. Obviously, this is much better, but still not good enough. With this warmer prospect you may be able to cultivate a friendship over a number of months and get them to buy something from you as a friend. This is when you move into the “there’s a small chance they might buy something from me” stage. Getting someone motivated enough to actually send you money though is an entirely different story. If you become too pushy, they will probably realize that you are more a salesperson than their friend and they may block your profile – putting all of your months of tedious work to befriend them to waste. Let’s not also forget that many of the people on MySpace don’t have the money to buy something from you. The demographics of MySpace may no longer be heavily tilted toward just teenyboppers and college-age students, but they still make up the majority of people that will accept an open invitation of friendship from people they don’t know without questions.Now, suppose you are successful in being able to sell someone something. Let’s use a CD for the time being, since music is one of the major types of content promoted on MySpace. You are able to sell the CD that you paid $2.00 to duplicate (not including studio costs and everything else) for $15.00. You spent over 100 hours online befriending someone to make $13.00. Let’s just use 100 hours for simple arithmetic. That means that you made about $0.13/hour. When you add in all of the studio costs, manufacturing costs and everything else, well it’s about time to start looking forward to a tax write-off for the New Year. The plain and simple fact is that you need a lot of publicity to make money on MySpace. This brings us to our next point.Myspace promotes big name artists. We already established that. So, if you’re not a big-name artist, how do people find you? How do you tap into the 100 million members plus that are available to you? I think the bigger question is how do those people find you out of a pool of 100 million other people? The simple answer is that they don’t. Unless you can make yourself known to these people, almost all of them will never find you. They don’t know you exist and they don’t care if you exist. It’s a hard fact, but it is the bottom line. You have to do all of the work to make yourself known to prospective buyers.So, if you’re trying to make a name for yourself on MySpace, then I guess the answer to the question we posed in this article is a resounding yes. MySpace is definitely a waste of time for most independent artists. Notice that I use the word “most”, because just like the lottery, you can always get lucky. If, on the other hand, you are simply trying to connect with other artists and aren’t worried about making money so much as making friends with like-interests, then MySpace might be a good place for you. That being said, I hope that anyone who is serious about his or her work is trying to make a living in it. after i downloaded some episodes of Prison Break season 2, my windows media player is of no use since wala akong available codecs for it. whats make it more harder, is that my home pc is not connected to the internet. good thing is naimbento ang Total Video Converter kung saan kahit anong video files, regardless kung wala or meron or kulang ang inyong codecs na nakainstall sa pc, you are still able to view your videos. all video format will run in this converter even the psp video files will do. oh di ba, life made easy with this remarkable program, try nyo :D

Was a bit upset earlier, taped a film with Jack Nicholson and Diane Keaton last night. Missed the last ten minutes. Please did Jack get Diane? I think he will have done but what happened to the young doctor? It's really cold in the north west of England today. TV news filled with stories and pictures of snow. Granddaughter in Nuneaton sent me a text, (she knows how much I hate snow,) she told us there was no school for them today. We have had a few flakes but up to now, nothing much. I bet I wake up in the morning and all will be white. I really hope not.On day 39 of not smoking. Not bad but I still get the crave and it wouldn't take much for me to crack! I really hope not.

Madrid: Barcelona coach Frank Rijkaard has defended playmaker Ronaldinho from criticism that he is not reproducing the kind of form that earned him the World Player of the Year title.

“It is okay to criticise the team because they have shown they can do better but it is too much to only talk about Ronaldinho,” Rijkaard told radio Catalunya. “He is a fundamental player for us but he isn’t a robot. Sometimes we forget he is human.”

The Brazilian international failed to live up to expectations at the World Cup finals in Germany and has struggled to inspire the European and Spanish champions in their relatively sluggish start to the season.

Cup Effect?

Barca are top of the Primera Liga but some laboured performances have raised questions about the form of the team and Ronaldinho in particular.

“What happened in the World Cup hasn’t affected him. He had the right attitude but his team mates just didn’t connect with him,” Rijkaard said. “But it is another thing to talk about the pre-season. Because of contractual obligations he had to play every game and this catches up with you in the end.

“We have seen a drop in his performances but we aren’t worried. We are managing it and he is doing what he can for the team which is the most important thing.”

Both Rijkaard and defender Rafael Marquez have pinpointed the club’s two-week promotional tour of Mexico and the US as a major disruption to Barca’s preparations for the season.

In a separate interview Ronaldinho, who has a history of slow starts, backed Rijkaard’s assessment of his state of form. “I start every season the same. I’m getting into it.”

I recently watched this debate and couldn't help but get frustrated. First off, Jack Thompson was a dick. It's fine to be passionate about a topic, but c'mon. I ended up searching Game Daily for the article they published. It's here, and I found it very interesting. This whole debate just irks me. Why do I think trying to connect violent crime to video games is so ludicrous? Well, me and my friends for a couple of reasons. I've played some incredibly violent video games (including the infamous Manhunt and Grand Theft Auto III games . . . in fact, just about every Grand Theft Auto game in existence) and I've also never committed a violent crime. As a matter of fact, I've been told by several people that I'm one of the least violent people they've ever met. Granted, I'm no Gandhi, but you'd think I'd be just a little more aggressive. Same with my friends. We all play the same video games, and I'm proud to say that none of my friends have ever committed a violent crime. You know, as I think back, most of the pricks who were bullies didn't play as many video games as me and the people I called friends. They were too busy playing football (ya know, the sport that promotes actual violence against other actual people) and, pfft, leaving the house and knocking up cheerleaders to play video games. I think the real problem here is the institution of cheerleading.Another of the many myths about violence and video games (and one that Mr. Jack "Uber-dick" Johnson likes to exploit) is the notion that you can somehow "train" yourself to fire a gun with deadly accuracy on a video game. Now, to be honest, I've never fired a "real" gun (again . . . not a violent person), but I have fired an air rifle and . . . not to kick my own ego in the crotch but good lord I sucked. I fired a depressingly large number of pellets at five different cans lined up maybe . . . fifteen feet away and I didn't hit one of them. Not one! Sigh . . . now, to put an ice pack on my bruised ego, I'm pretty damn good at those first-person shooters. And give me a rifle with an aiming and trigger device in the shape of a game control, as well as a universe with simplified laws of physics, and I'll bullseye any turkey you put in front of me.Mr. Thompson also says he represented the families of victims in Paducah, Kentucky, claiming that games like Doom trained the killer. He doesn't include the little fact that he lost that case, and failed to prove any link between the motive or execution of the crime to video games.The plain fact of the matter is, we're not caught in some epidemic of youth violence. Society is not on the brink of armageddon. Jesus . . . ain't visitin' for a while (if at all--hey-o!). I mean, what do you want from me? People go on and on about violent video games and they never mention cartoons, including old cartoons like Bugs Bunny and Tom and Jerry. Have you ever tried to count the number of violent acts represented there? I could cite another essay for you but it's not gonna change your mind. This is one of those issues where people have an opinion and they find evidence that backs that up. You know what, here, just for kicks I'll post a link to the article I can only assume is the one Jack Thompson was referring to since he didn't cite a specific title or author, just threw out a big name like the American Psychological Association (yay, big words!). You'll notice that for all the facts on how the brain works, Dr. Anderson doesn't address the fact that violence among youths (as well as among Americans as a whole) is at an all-time low, a fact stated by Duke Ferris, founder of Game Revolution, in the first article I found--Mr. Ferris citing, of course, the U.S. Department of Justice, Bureau of Statistics.Suck it, Thompson.

I'm watching music videos on YouTube. Attempting to watch them, anyway. Not being very successful with my internet connection. And since my charity this year is the IFAW, I thought this would be a good time to post it. Does anyone else have a hard time watching the video? Honestly, I couldn't watch the whole thing. The first time I saw it I got to the part where the dolphins were caught in the net, and I never finished watching it. I like the song, and I totally respect them for trying to get the message across. But I can't sit there and watch animals suffering.

A couple days ago I found out they have another version of the video that was made for PETA. The version on TV was actually edited. It's crazy. There's a version that's worse than that? I'm just wondering how the hell it could be any worse. For my own sanity I'm not going to watch it to find out. But I did find it HERE if you're interested in checking it out. Feel free to tell me what you think. Just please don't give me any graphic details. One of these days I might work up the guts to watch it. Just not today.
